Description

The plaintiff says she hired the defendant to do some construction work on the bedroom and kitchen of her boat. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant took off with the plaintiff’s money without completing the job. She is suing for the money she says she’s owed. The defendant argues that the plaintiff moved the boat before he was able to complete the job.
Then, the plaintiffs say they hired the defendant to install concrete pavers on their property, but immediately after, there was a problem with the grout cracking between the tiles. They’re suing for a refund. The defendant claims he made it clear that the plaintiffs weren’t supposed to walk on the pavers 24 hours after he completed the job, but the plaintiffs did it anyway. If anyone is at fault, the defendant says it’s the plaintiffs.
Plus, the plaintiff claims he told his neighbor, the defendant, about a large tree hanging over his property. The defendant didn’t do anything about it, and the tree collapsed on the plaintiff’s fence and damaged it. The plaintiff is suing for repairs. The defendant argues that the tree fell due to a hurricane, and he can’t control the weather.
