Description

The plaintiff says he takes his car to the defendant’s car wash at least once a week. He argues the brush knocked his side mirror off, so he’s suing for the cost to fix a mirror. The defendant says the plaintiff’s mirror was fine until the plaintiff started moving it. The defendant says his car wash doesn’t cover damage on vehicles over five years old and he has disclaimers saying his company is not at fault.
Then, the plaintiff is taking his former landlord to court because he says she blames him for breaking the washing machine. He claims it was broken beforehand. He has since moved out and is suing for a refund on his rent. The defendant says the plaintiff overloaded the washer and agreed to pay for repairs, but he never did. She’s countersuing for rent owed and the cost of a new machine.
Plus, the plaintiffs say they hired the defendant to fix their hardwood floors. They allege the defendant’s worker scratched their fridge door with his vacuum pack, causing extensive damage. They’re suing for the cost of a new refrigerator door. The defendant says he doesn’t owe anything because he doesn’t think a plastic hose could cause that damage.
