Description

The plaintiff says the defendant’s dog walker wasn’t paying attention at the dog park and claims the defendant’s dog attacked his dog and injured her badly. He’s suing for the cost of the veterinary bills. The defendant says there were no witnesses to the attack, so he refuses to pay.
Then, the plaintiff says he was hired to install shutters and an awning at the defendant’s house, but she won’t pay up. He’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff did shoddy work and made the awning so small that it doesn’t protect her porch. She’s countersuing for the cost of removing and replacing the awning.
Plus, the plaintiff says she bought a car from the defendant and it died in the street three days later. She says he tried to fix it, but it took months. She’s suing for the cost of rental cars and rideshare fees. The defendant says the plaintiff got a new engine through a manufacturer’s recall, so he can’t believe she’s now suing him for Uber fares.
