Description

The plaintiff says she’s known the defendant since high school. She claims she borrowed a dollar from her friend and bought a lottery ticket. When she won $50, she says her friend grabbed her ticket and stole it, so she’s suing for the amount of the win. The defendant claims since it was her money that won, she should keep the ticket.
Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to put in an asphalt driveway, but it ended up being wavy and crumbling. The defendant won’t honor the warranty, so she’s suing for a full refund since she has to have it redone. The defendant says he’s happy to fix the driveway, and he doesn’t know why she’s suing in the middle of the pandemic.
