Description

The plaintiff says she met the defendant in the emergency room, and they ended up moving in together. She claims he pressured her for sex and ended up locking her out when she refused, so she’s suing. The defendant says he and the plaintiff had a relationship until she brought home another man, so he moved out and the landlord changed the locks.
The plaintiffs say the defendant is their neighbor. They claim he kicked their car one day out of anger and dented it, causing damage, missed work, and pain and suffering, so they’re suing. The defendant says one of the plaintiffs pushed him into the car during an argument and the damage was minimal.
The plaintiff says the defendant was her landlord. She claims he rented her place out before she was finished moving, and she found the new tenant lying on her couch and using her new furniture, so she’s suing for the value. The defendant says the plaintiff told him she had to move quickly, and he suspects it has to do with a criminal past. He claims she abandoned the furniture.

"The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian.
