Description

The plaintiff hired the defendant, a doula, to help prepare for the birth of her first child. The plaintiff says she wanted to save the placenta because she is considered high-risk, but she argues the defendant couldn’t get into the hospital because she didn’t have a negative COVID-19 test, so she’s suing for a refund of the doula services. The defendant says she was never informed about needing the negative test, so she doesn’t think she owes anything.
Then, the plaintiff and her business partner run an IT business where they set up Internet and security software for companies. They argue the defendant stopped paying the fees, so they’re suing for the balance owed. The defendant says he paid the plaintiffs in full and stopped the subscription, but they charged him anyway. He doesn’t think he owes them anything.
