Description

The plaintiff made a deal with the defendant where if she cleaned his apartment, cooked for him, and spent time with him, he’d buy her a cell phone. He’s suing for the cost of a phone and screen protector. The defendant argues the plaintiff bought her the phone for her birthday.
Then, the plaintiff hired the defendant to direct and edit a PSA on the dangers of drugs. She claims the defendant returned a terrible video that she wasn’t happy with, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant argues he did the work that he was paid to do, and the plaintiff told him everything looked fine.
Plus, the plaintiff rented an apartment to the defendant, who signed a one-year lease. She says the defendant claimed the apartment caused her health problems, then she disappeared after two months. She’s suing for lost rent. The defendant argues she and her son were sick the entire time they lived in the plaintiff’s apartment.
