Description

The plaintiff and defendant live next door to each other. The plaintiff says the defendant rebuilt his home and there was some brickwork that had potential to fall. He says he tried talking to the defendant about fixing it, but the defendant wouldn’t do it. The plaintiff says he did it himself, so he’s suing for a reimbursement. The defendant argues the plaintiff isn’t telling the full truth about the cost of the reimbursement. He claims the plaintiff hired a defendant to fix the brickwork, and he refuses to pay.
Then, the plaintiff says she rented a leaky apartment the defendant’s ratty house. She moved out, but the defendant refuses to return her security deposit. She’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says there was only one leak and it was repaired. She alleges she owes the plaintiff nothing.
Plus, the plaintiff says the careless defendant went through a stop sign on his scooter and ran into him when he had the right of way. Now he won’t reimburse him for the damages and has filed a claim with his insurance. He’s suing for repair costs. The defendant says the plaintiff keeps changing his story and never reported the accident to his insurance. They’re countersuing for hospital bills.
