Description

The plaintiff was hired by the defendant to clean her apartment. She says the defendant wrote rude comments about her on Facebook, so she’s suing for defamation of character. The defendant argues the plaintiff did not clean the apartment well at all. She’s countersuing for a refund for the cleaning fees.
Then, the plaintiff says she moved into the defendant’s home and then noticed the stairs up to her apartment weren’t level. Even after two people fell, the defendant refused to fix them, so the plaintiff is suing her. The defendant claims the stairs are fine and alleges the plaintiff is extorting her. She’s countersuing for unpaid rent.
Plus, the plaintiff had been living in her apartment for 11 years before she decided to move out. She says a cutting board was glued to the countertop when she moved in, and now the management company is complaining. She’s suing for the return of a security deposit. The defendant argues the plaintiff could not provide any evidence that the cutting board was glued down since the start. She doesn’t think she owes the plaintiff any money.
