Description

The plaintiff says he gave the defendant his expensive remote-controlled helicopter to sell on consignment, but the defendant lost it. The plaintiff is suing for the replacement cost. The defendant says he owns a hobby store and claims the helicopter was stolen. He alleges the consignment agreement says he’s not liable in the case of theft.
The plaintiff says she hired the defendant’s moving company, and she claims he overcharged her and damaged some items. She’s not going to be pushed around, so she’s suing. The defendant says he has no idea what the issue is, and he claims the plaintiff wasn’t even home when they arrived with her belongings.
The plaintiff says he used to date the defendant and he helped her buy a car. They broke up, and now she’s refusing to pay him back, so he’s suing. The defendant says her ex bought the car for her, but she had to kick him out for cheating.

"The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian's decisions – based on current law – are final and binding. Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.
