Description

The plaintiff went to the defendant’s business to get his car detailed. He says one of the defendant’s workers ripped the seat’s upholstery, so he’s suing for damages. The defendant argues the seat was ripped when the plaintiff showed up and he refuses to pay.
Then, the plaintiff says she rented a room in the defendant’s house, but the woman pulled a gun on her and told her to get out. The defendant also filed a false police report against the plaintiff. She’s suing for rent, gas, and emotional distress. The defendant says she told the plaintiff the room was only temporary because she was facing eviction, and she claims the plaintiff threatened her kids.

"The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.
