Description
The plaintiffs, who work for a car repair shop, claim the defendant took advantage of a clerical error on a repair bill for her car. Now the defendant is trying to duck out on the work they did. The plaintiff only paid $56 on what was supposed to be an $800 bill, so they’re suing for the difference. The defendant argues that it’s not her fault the receptionist gave her the wrong bill. She owes them nothing.
The plaintiffs say they were duped into buying a defective mobile home from the defendant. The thing was overrun with mold, the pipes were broken, and the list goes on and on. They’re suing for the state max of $5,000. The defendant argues that he replaced the heating system in the trailer prior to the sale, and the plaintiffs purchased it for a fair deal. He’s not responsible for what went wrong with the home after they purchased it. Now the defendant is countersuing for unreturned mail.
The plaintiff paid the defendant in advance to babysit her child. Unfortunately, before the job, child services took the plaintiff’s child away, and the babysitting job never happened. The defendant hasn’t returned the babysitting money, so now the plaintiff is suing her for the amount she paid. The defendant claims she doesn’t owe that woman a dime, and yes, the child was taken away from child services, but since the plaintiff owed her money from a prior debt, she’s keeping the babysitting money.
