Description
The plaintiff says the defendant, her foster and godparent, gave her an iPhone 6 and laptop as gifts, but after a disagreement, he stole them out of her bag and won’t give them back. Now she’s suing for the cost of the items. The defendant argues once the plaintiff treated him with disrespect, he took them back. He initially paid for them, so he shouldn’t have to pay her anything.
The plaintiff says his son was hit by a car while riding his bicycle. The defendant, who drove the car, is ignoring the plaintiff’s requests to pay for the medical bills, so now he’s suing the driver for the costs. The defendant says the plaintiff’s son went through a stop sign without stopping and wasn’t even wearing a helmet. Bottom line, she says she did nothing wrong.
The plaintiff says she agreed to rent an apartment from the defendant for her parents to live in. Her mother saw and loved it, but when she brought her father by on numerous occasions, he was never allowed access. Eventually, the plaintiff’s father decided to not rent the apartment. Now the plaintiff is having issues recovering the rent money she put down on the place, so she’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff was anxious to get the apartment off the market, but a month later, she canceled and begged for the money back. The defendant refunded the security deposit but withheld the rent.
