Description

The plaintiff hired and paid the defendant’s limo company to take his daughter and her friends out to celebrate her Sweet 16. Unfortunately, the plaintiff had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the defendant won’t return the plaintiff’s money, so he’s suing. The defendant insists her contract is crystal clear, and the plaintiff is free to reschedule her limo service for another day, but she’s not giving the plaintiff a refund.
The plaintiff says the defendant, her former roommate and friend, owes her money for rent because he skipped out on her and moved back home. She can’t afford the place on her own, so the plaintiff is suing for the unpaid rent the defendant owes. The defendant alleges that the plaintiff enforced ridiculous rules like no random hookups even though the plaintiff met a guy online, and he moved in with them. Therefore, the defendant says he doesn’t owe the plaintiff anything. The defendant is countersuing for paid rent and security.
The plaintiff’s parked car was hit by the defendant in a parking lot. When the plaintiff asked the defendant to pay for the repairs, she says he refused, so the plaintiff is suing for the damages. The defendant admits he did dent the plaintiff’s car, but he claims the plaintiff was illegally parked over the line, and her insurance paid her claim. Therefore, the defendant says he doesn’t owe the plaintiff a dime.
