Description

The plaintiff says the defendant is a menace to society. She claims the defendant sped through a stop sign as she walked her beloved dogs on leash, hitting them and breaking one of her dog’s necks, which killed him. Not only that, she says, the plaintiff then fled the scene. She’s suing for her dog’s cremation and purchasing another dog. The defendant admits she hit the dog but says she fled because of an angry mob. She’s countersuing for harassment.
Then, the plaintiffs say they bought a truck from the defendant for their delivery business, but it broke down less than a mile after they pulled out of the lot. They’re suing to get their down payment back. The defendant claims they’re having buyer’s remorse, and he’s not returning a dime.
Plus, the plaintiff says he hired the defendant, a contractor, to do some work on his house after a flood. He claims the defendant did shoddy work and he was forced to hire someone else to fix it. He’s suing for the money he spent. The defendant claims he did the work and the plaintiff stiffed him, so he’s suing for money still owed.
