Description

The plaintiff says she bought a car from the defendants, but they never gave her a clean title and she can’t register it. She claims they knew exactly what they were doing, and she’s suing for her money back. The defendants say the plaintiff is crazy and sent her boyfriend to crash his car into one of theirs, causing thousands in damage. She was even arrested for threatening to harm them.
Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to install a patio in her backyard, but he made a mess. She claims the patio isn’t level and water pools in the corner, but the guy won’t fix it, so she’s suing. The defendant says he did a great job adding a section to her patio and she even hired him again, so she’s trying to rip him off.
Plus, the plaintiff says the defendant is her young son’s half-sister, who she claims stole their dog and refuses to give him back. She’s suing for the value of the pet. The defendant says her brother brought the dog over after their father passed away and he seemed neglected, smelled, and had matted hair. She nursed him back to health and says she won’t return him.

For more than two decades, Milian has dispensed justice and provided legal insight in the courtroom where justice and reality collide. "The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian's decisions – based on current law – are final and binding. Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.
