Description

The plaintiffs say their dog was attacked by the defendants’ dog. They claim the defendants’ dog knocked over one of the plaintiffs and also caused the plaintiffs’ dog to get stitches and spend three days in the hospital. They’re suing for the balance of a vet bill. The defendants say they paid for most of the bill, but their neighbor let the dog out, so the neighbor should pay the balance.
Then, the plaintiff says she rented an apartment from the defendant but was forced to move out. She claims she never got her security deposit back, so she’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff melted the microwave oven, never paid rent, and broke multiple things all over the apartment. He’s countersuing for damages.
Plus, the plaintiff says the defendant merged into his lane on an expressway and crashed into him. He’s suing for the cost of his insurance deductible. The defendant argues the plaintiff crashed into him.

"The People’s Court Podcast" draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian's decisions – based on current law – are final and binding. Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.
