Many people have defined yoga in many different ways. For me, Yoga is a path of self-discovery.  Pajanjali’s Yogasutra gives us amazing guidance on this path of self-discovery. According to the wisdom of yoga, self-awareness is the first step. There are many yoga practices we can use for the betterment of our whole being (for example: Asana, Pranayama), may help us realize where we hold tension or how is our breath, etc. When we become aware of this we start noticing where we hold stress in our body, how we react in different situations, etc. Self-awareness helps us understand what works and what is not serving us, in other words, what we need to let go. The mind becomes calm. There is clarity in our thoughts. The body becomes flexible and strong.
