It's exhausting always looking in the mirror and thinking to yourself, "Ugh why do I look like this. Maybe I need to do more cardio and eat less." Then you go ahead and do that then 2 months pass by and you've gained weight. Then this cycle just continues to repeat itself over and over again until you've came to a state of mind where no matter what, you will always hate you look no matter if tons of people are giving you compliments, because we all already know, compliments don't uplift us when we have a bad view on ourselves to begin with. The amazing guest speaker today, Teresa, has been through hating herself and wishing for a "better body". She has looked in the mirror and worn clothes and thought to herself, "ugh why do I look like this". On top of it all, she also is a mother, and the amount of change that happens to a woman's body during and after pregnancy is at times very depressing. This is why post partum depression is a real thing! She began to finally take things into her own hands and own up to reality which then guided her to falling in love with who she is and what she's capable of.
