About this audiobook

Dating was never easy. But in the digital age, with its countless dating apps and endless communication, the possibility of misunderstandings and mishaps is at an all-time high. Dating in the twenty-first century can be a harrowing experience — and for those with an anxious attachment style, it can be especially devastating.

In Anxiously Attached, an audio course from Scribd Coach, writer, dating strategist, and formerly anxiously attached dater Ellen Nguyen shares her thoughts on becoming more secure in relationships and dating with grace. Drawing from personal experience and her background as a dating expert, Nguyen covers how to date when you’re anxiously attached, what qualities the anxiously attached should seek out in potential partners, how to thrive in a new relationship, and, most importantly, how to overcome anxious attachment to become securely attached. She also shares exercises along the way to help listeners apply what they’ve learned immediately.

If the thought of a delayed text message response or misunderstanding by your crush makes your heart sink, or if you just want to feel more comfortable in your dating life, Anxiously Attached is for you.

Only so-so. Didn't find it particularly empowering. You can only rely on people's actions towards you to some extent. I would have liked some emphasis on managing one's own reactions when faced with anxiety-inducing situations...

I love how brief and action packed the book is...

Book really only touched the surface of attachment theory and a lot of the advice was to only change external factors like getting rid of her iPhone? And to date someone who will coddle you.

An okay listen if you want something digestible but not really effervescent advice

The tips shared were practical and helpful. As someone who's on this journey, I found what she's talked about very relatable.

Short and sweet. A good insight and reminder into my relationship challenges.

Rubbish, waffle, not practical, very simplistic, boring ego driven story to sell a book (chapter).

This book helped me understand where my anxiety was coming from and why the relationships I've been in have been unfulfilling.

Really didn’t need half the book to be about the authors current and perfect partner/relationship to illustrate the inverse of what had just been said, All of it could have easily been inferred and not stated.

The author says they became secure but from what I hear they only found a secure partner. One that is constantly checking in them, prioritizing them. I wonder what would happen to the author if this partner suddenly disappeared from their life.
