Charlie Mackesy

Artist Charlie Mackesy has been a cartoonist for The Spectator and a book illustrator for Oxford University Press. He has collaborated with Richard Curtis for Comic Relief, and Nelson Mandela on a lithograph project, The Unity Series . His first exhibition for the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse was in London in November 2018. Charlie lives in South London with his dog.

Literally the words I needed to hear as a child, the words I want my children to hear, my work and love of horses and my need to heal them all summed up by a sentence in this book “we all fall don’t worry I got you “ because my horses catch me and have me … this messages paired with his calm soothing voice was magic to my manic ADHD nerves . I was sad for it to end and hope so much there can be more about this group ! 2019…. How am I just now finding this gem! I can’t wait to share it with my 5 year old daughter and 17 year old son ❤️. I know the author will never read this but this book just touches my inner child and hugs it tight …. Had I hear. These words I might be more affectionate with humans , I am trying to be better for my children!

Just magical ! I could see it all in my mind as he read.

A children's book for everyone. I was up very early one morning and watched the animated film. Then I watched the documentary. The film moved me to tears. I immediately downloaded the book and started listening to it on my way to work. It is a book with such a positive message for children yet speaks to the hearts of adults as well.
