About this audiobook
The ability to learn new skills has become a requirement in the modern work force. But the idea of learning a new skill is much easier than actually putting in the work. Between the endless information about new skills online and the effort it takes to get practice, it can seem impossible to get started on learning a skill.
Fortunately, management expert and blogger Filipa Canelas knows a thing or two about goals. In this course, Canelas outlines her one-of-a-kind strategy for learning how to do something new: She encourages beginning with your mindset and considering various personal perspectives to help simplify your goals and make headway on learning those new skills. She also offers exercises to begin putting what you've learned to use, and how you can apply the goal-setting strategy you develop to the real world.
Have goals but aren't sure where to turn to get started on working on them? Learn Anything could be that crucial first step.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This audiobook seems more about achieving goals than about learning skills. If you learn just enough of a skill to accomplish a goal, you are not really going to retain much of that skill afterwards. And there’s also the old rule of practice for skill retention. A.k.a. “use it or lose it.”
Case in point is how the author describes learning HTML to build, or improve a website for some specific purpose. HTML is a massive markup language with lots of rules and nuances. If you learn just enough to make your website, that’s not going to translate very well to making other websites for other purposes. And I guarantee that if you don’t practice with HTML, six months later, you’re gonna forget 90% of what you learned.
On the plus side, I think this is a good roadmap for achieving goals. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Charting the easy way to reach from point A to point B
