Description

How familiar are you with your female cycle? I know I hadn't heard of the Fertility Awareness Method for most of my life, until I decided to go off of hormonal birth control about eight years ago and wanted another solution to become better in touch with my body and both prevent (at the time) pregnancy-- and eventually optimize my fertility for conception. It was even more helpful as I was working on balancing my hormones with a diagnosis of PCOS, when I started understanding how important an indicator our menstrual cycle is of our overall health- in fact, it's considered the fifth vital sign for women. In the final part to this year's Women's Health series, I have Lisa Hendrickson-Jack, Fertility Awareness Educator and author of the Fifth Vital Sign: Master your Cycles and Optimize your Fertility, sharing about how the Fertility Awareness method can: Help you better tune in to your female cycle (and body as a whole)Help with prevention of pregnancy AND/or conception (yes, it's ACTUALLY accurate)Offer a window into your overall healthShe debunks myths (such as the difference between the FAM and the Rhythm method), empowers and educates on how becoming more aware of your cycle can help you get in touch with your fifth vital sign. This is a podcast that should be required listening for anyone with a cycle! Connect with Lisa:WebsiteFacebookInstagramTwitterThe Fifth Vital Sign BookConnect with Kris:WebsiteInstagram
