Description

The plaintiff says she rented a basement apartment from the defendant, but the woman threw her out so her daughter could move in. She alleges the defendant tossed all her belongings outside on a snowy day, and she’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff owes her rent, brought in cockroaches, and refused to leave after a court-ordered eviction. She’s countersuing for rent and exterminator costs.
Then, the plaintiff says he’s a screenwriter and hired the defendant to edit his film. He claims the defendant had the footage for a year and has done nothing, so he’s suing for a refund. The defendant says he’s worked with a lot of big names, but the film had a lot of technical issues. He insists he deserves to be paid.
Plus, the plaintiff says he was driving on the highway when the defendant crashed into the side of his car and took off. Turns out she had no license and was in a rental. He’s suing for the cost of the repairs. The defendant insists the plaintiff sideswiped her, not the other way around. She’s countersuing for repairs and emotional distress.
