Description
"God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear." (Acts 2:32-33)These are Peter's words to the locals in Jerusalem who had crucified Jesus seven weeks earlier. There was no explanation for all they witnessed; a man beaten beyond human recognition, stabbed and crucified, who was raised and healed. Three days later, Peter says, God is the one who raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus walked on Earth for 40 days after that, eating and touching people, proving He wasn't a ghost. Then He ascended to Heaven, but He didn't leave Earth helpless without the presence of God. He sent His Spirit to be with believers, to guide us, and speak the truth of His Word to us believers. That means we are not alone. He is with us and He's where the joy is!
