Description
They said to Him, “Should we go and buy 200 denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?” And He asked them, “How many loaves do you have? Go look.” When they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.” Then He instructed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. So they sat down in ranks of hundreds and fifties. (Mark 6:37-40) Jesus has been teaching a crowd, but it's dinnertime now and the disciples want to send the crowd home. But Jesus wants to feed them, thousands of them! The disciples say they don't have enough money though. The disciples share their money and apparently only have 200 denarii among them. That's roughly the amount a day laborer makes in six months. They don't have enough, but God not only has an abundant supply, but He also has an ordered plan. Tomorrow, we'll read more about His provision, but as for today, just know He always has enough of whatever we need. He is where the joy is!
