Description
"Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray." (Mark 6:45-46) After Jesus miraculously makes dinner for roughly 15,000 people, He sends His disciples across the Sea of Galilee to the side where the Gentiles live. The Jewish people actively avoid that area because it's filled with pagans who don't worship God. After the disciples head off toward enemy territory in the middle of the night, Jesus goes up on a mountain to talk to His Father alone. Remember, before all this happened, Jesus had just found out his cousin was beheaded in prison. So He goes to the Father and maybe He's thanking God for the miracle of multiplying the food or maybe He's mourning or maybe both. You can take your wins and your losses to God because He can be trusted with all of it. He's where the joy is!
