"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5)This section of the book of John is talking to us about who Jesus is. It says He is God and credits Him with making the world. It says He is where life and light are found. Our fallen world is a dark place with broken people. Sometimes it's hard to find our way and see the right path, isn't it? We need the light and truth to illuminate things for us and Scripture says that Jesus is the very light by which we see being in a relationship with Him. Where we learn more about Him all the time has a way of making things clearer for us. The good news is light is always stronger than darkness. You can't gather up a bunch of darkness and extinguish even a match. Light always wins! He's our light and He is where the joy is!
