Description
"Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." (John 1:3)This passage is talking to us about who Jesus is and it says He is God and it credits Him with making the world. Colossians 1:16 points us to this same truth when it says 'by Him, Jesus, all things were created in Heaven and on Earth', visible and invisible. Whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through Him and for Him. In Genesis 1:26, God says, 'let us make man in our image after our likeness'. Most scholars point to this being a conversation among the Trinity, the three persons of the one true God: Father, Son, and Spirit. Scripture points to Jesus in particular as the builder of creation and He made all of this, including you for himself. Our chief purpose in life is reflecting and connecting with our creator. He is where the joy is!
