Description

"He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come." (Luke 11:2)One day when Jesus is talking to the Father, His disciples ask him to teach them how to do it. They want to talk to God and so Jesus says prayer starts with relationship. If you've been adopted into God's family, then you're God's child and you can call Him Father. He's the best father! The one who fills in all the gaps and aches left by earthly fathers. Next, we recognize His Holiness and His character as we remembering who God is. It sets us up to talk to Him in a way that honors Him. We also pledge our allegiance to His kingdom confessing that His ways and His plans are best. It's an act of surrender that only comes from knowing and trusting Him. Prayer is a regular conversation that increases our intimacy with the Father and He is where the joy is!
