Description
"The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—everyone whom the Lord our God calls to Himself.” (Acts 2:39)These words are from a sermon Peter is preaching to the locals of Jerusalem who had just witnessed Jesus crucifixion and resurrection. After He ascended to Heaven 40 days later, the Apostles were left to explain His message to the locals. So Peter began by explaining to them that the man they crucified was the Messiah, which is precisely why He could do something like rise from the dead and ascend to Heaven. When they hear this, they believe and repent. Their hearts have been changed, and Peter gives them even more good news! This Jesus is available to everyone who believes in repentance, even those who are far off. God calls people from among every nation to believe and repent. He has called us to Himself and I'm so grateful for it. Aren't you? I hope you know and believe that He is where the joy is!
