God’s Word brings a moment of light from an eternity of darkness.
1. God’s Word brings order from chaos.
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
2. God’s Word sparks light from darkness.
Genesis 1:3  Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
3. God’s Word creates beauty from an ugly past.
Genesis 1:4-5 God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was an evening, and there was a morning: one day.
