Big Idea: You have nothing to fear when you’re clean and clear.

Genesis 21:1-7
The Lord came to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time God had told him. Abraham named his son who was born to him—the one Sarah bore to him—Isaac. When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God had commanded him. Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.” She also said, “Who would have told Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne a son for him in his old age.”

Next Steps:

Believe:  I believe Jesus wants to heal my soul today.
Become: I need the Holy Spirit to turn my sorrow into laughter.
Be sent: I will give help and hope to someone hurting this month.

Do you know someone who has let a problem or pain of their past define them?  
If you had to choose only one option- would you rather God did WHAT you prayed or When you prayed? Explain your answer. 
Can viewing a problem from a different perspective minimize it?
Are you naturally an optimist or a pessimist when facing a problem?  
When was the last time a big problem turned out to be insignificant in the end?
Are you praying for someone who is hurting this holiday season?
Pray for the Holy Spirit to help you laugh at your problems this week.
