Description

Join us for Episode 13 in our seven-week series, The Psalms of Ascent: A Lenten Pilgrimage. In this week's episode, Lisa and Laura kick off Holy Week by switching things up. Instead of looking at another Psalm of Ascent, we are going to take a deep dive into Psalm 22. What does this psalm have to do with Holy Week? Grab your Bible, a pen, and a notebook, because you, dear friend, are about to find out. Chock full of teaching and personal application, you do not want to miss this episode!

Hebrews 12:2: For the joy that was set before him he endured the cross.
Revelation 5:12: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!
Revelation 7:16–17: They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Revelation 21:3–4: Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God Himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things will have passed away.
Revelation 21:5: Behold, I make all things new!
Colossians 3:16: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Dr. Edward Sri, “There are times we face trials that have no human solution. No amount of money, planning, counseling, or networking can solve it all. No friend, spiritual director, or person of influence can be our savior. The only thing we can do is to turn to the Lord like the psalmist did, clinging to God in pure faith, trusting that he will help us through this ordeal.”
Saint Francis de Sales, “To make good progress, we must devote ourselves to getting over that portion of the path which lies close before us, and not amuse ourselves with the desire to attain the last step before we have accomplished the first.”
