Perhaps it was the way I held the invitation card to the retirement party that brought back a memory of her, or the fact that I was in the study just like I was that day. I could remember the first time I met Anabella. It was over three years ago when I had just got back from a business school trip with some colleagues in Milan, just  at the time that Graham first sold me the idea that he was retiring earlier than planned. It was a bright morning, one of the brightest, especially since it was that day I met her.

I had sneaked off to the study after breakfast to escape the usual bustling activities in the penthouse.
