Description

The plaintiff used to be friends with the defendant. He says the defendant hired him to be a cinematographer for a short comedy special. The plaintiff claims the defendant didn’t pay him for the work he did, so he’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff volunteered to work on the special. She says she agreed to give him food, but not money, so she doesn’t owe him a thing.
Then, the plaintiff was hired to paint the defendant’s apartment. He says he left his tools in her apartment overnight, and when he returned, his tools were ruined because the defendant’s dogs ate them. He’s suing for the cost of a new paint gun. The defendant argues she told the plaintiff not to leave his tools in her apartment, but he didn’t listen, so it’s not her fault.
Plus, the plaintiff dated the defendant and loaned him money twice during their relationship. She claims he never paid her back, so she’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff cheated on him all the time. He says the plaintiff never bothered him about the money until now.
