Description

The plaintiff says the defendant is her estranged husband, and he stole two cats, furniture, and winter clothing from her. He even had her arrested, so she’s suing him for what she’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff didn’t even want the cats and threatened to toss them out into the wild. He denies having any furniture or clothing.
The plaintiff says the defendant is the head chef and owner of a restaurant. He claims he worked there for a week as a line cook, but the man stiffed him on his pay, so he’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff showed up for a week and then disappeared, leaving him in the lurch.
The plaintiff says the defendant is her neighbor. She claims he damaged her house when he sprayed varnish on it when he was fixing his fence and he won’t pay for the damage. She’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant admits his pump sprayer oversprayed, and he offered to have a contractor repair it, but the plaintiff refused. He’s countersuing for what he paid the contractor to try to fix it.
