Description
The plaintiff met the defendant on the bus, took her out to dinner, and they became friends. The plaintiff ended up loaning the defendant money for various things, but he hasn’t been paid back, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant admits the plaintiff bought her a few things and gave her money, but she insists the loans were a gift. The defendant believes the plaintiff is just suing her out of spite because he has romantic feelings for her, but she doesn’t feel the same.
Then, the plaintiff owns a landscaping company and says he serviced two of the defendant’s properties, but she stopped paying him, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant claims the plaintiff didn’t come to her house for three weeks in a row, but he charged her just the same. The defendant eventually sent the plaintiff a note to terminate the job, and she believes she doesn’t owe him a dime.
Plus, the plaintiff claims the defendant shot across two lanes to make a left turn and slammed into his car, so the plaintiff is suing for damages. The defendant insists the plaintiff sideswiped him, and he’s the one who was hit. If anyone’s owed money, the defendant believes it’s him. The defendant is countersuing for an insurance deductible.
