Description

Do you ever encounter someone who is so positive and passionate, you just want to do exactly what they're doing? That's Heather. When Heather reached out to be a guest on the podcast, as a fitness expert, I wasn't sure at first if her philosophy would align with mine. And where I'm open to having conversations with all types of guests and philosophies, I do want the core of the podcast to be about finding balance. I'm all for living a fit life and eating more real food, but it can be hard to find a fitness expert that is truly aligned with a balanced lifestyle. Lucky for me, Heather is TOTALLY that girl! I immediately jumped into her podcast episodes and loved her mission of helping moms make active living a reality in their busy lives and nourish themselves well in balance. This episode is CHOCK FULL of awesome, practical advice on how to live a fit mama life in every season, how to balance eating well with living well, and we even dig into our Tendencies and how they've helped to shape our relationships (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll have to listen!). This is a must listen for any mama who wants to find more balance in her fitness, food and life.We chatted about: - how to fit fitness into a busy life- how to adopt a balanced view of fitness in every season - how to listen to your body and find what works for you in terms of movement About my Guest: Heather Englund is the face and voice behind the website Fit Mama Real Food, the host of the weekly healthy living podcast Fit Mama Real Food Radio and the creator of Fit Mama Real Food’s Yoga & Strength on YouTube, where she shares quick and effective fitness yoga and strength training workouts.  She is a YogaFit and AFAA certified group fitness instructor and began her teaching career in 2011.  She has taught classes varying from strength training, cycle, aqua aerobics, kickboxing, silver sneakers, yoga, sports agility and bootcamps.  She finds so much joy making movement fun for people.  Seeing the transformation exercise can have both physically and mentally inspires Heather every day to guide women to take the time to focus on themselves in this way. In 2008 Heather started her journey to find out how to truly nourish herself through food and fitness.  She took numerous nutrition courses and began learning about exercise.  It wasn’t a straight shot to where she is now, but eventually she landed in a healthy and happy relationship with real food as the focus, and intentional movement that encourages health, energy and joy.Heather is a wife to Jacob and mom of 4 little kids, Hunter 7, Zoe 5, Nova 3 and Holland 1.  She lives in the beautiful PNW.  Gratitude, nourishing real-foods, movement and laughter are a must, every single day.  Website: https://www.fitmamarealfood.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/fitmamarealfood/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWT7Zg3Di8P1Ji9EmLUbt_QPodcast: http://itunes.com/us/podcast/fit-mama-real-food-radio/id13265110147 Day Mind Body Yoga Reset: https://www.fitmamarealfood.com/7dayreset/The Delicious Shrimp Salad Roll bowls she mentioned:  https://www.fitmamarealfood.com/salad-roll-shrimp-bowls-with-coconut-rice-and-peanut-dressing/Find me: InstagramFacebook
