    Introduction

At work, your phone keeps ringing, you have overdue orders, your boss is rattling and because of that, you feel uncomfortable in your stomach? No doubt, you are stressed. How does stress affect us? Can we be stressed without our knowledge? How to learn to manage it?

    What is stress?

Stomach swelling, sweaty hands, racing heart, hot flashes... If these sensations are familiar to you, you may be suffering from the sickness of the century: stress. The hectic pace of work, the management of daily life, traffic jams and the annoying presence of others are all sources of stress with which we must deal.

Stress is a phenomenon of adaptation of the body which allows us to react to our environment. As soon as we are faced with a stressful situation, the brain sends a signal to the adrenals to release hormones: catecholamines like adrenaline. These hormones will increase the heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, breathing, in order to bring more oxygen to the muscles and the heart.

Our level of vigilance is at its maximum; our body is on alert ready to react. If the situation persists, the body enters a resistance phase. New hormones, glucocorticoids (cortisol), are secreted. They increase the level of sugar in the blood to provide energy for the muscles, heart and brain.

All of these hormonal secretions are normally regulated by blood sensors and by the brain. But if the stressful situation continues even longer, this regulation no longer works. The body is overwhelmed. He always produces more hormones and goes into a state of chronic stress, he ends up exhausting himself.

If not treated properly, stress can become chronic, leading to insomnia and depression.

Stress is one of the scourges of our modern world, but it is not an end in itself! Some even say it's just a myth! Whether you have it from time to time on a small scale or live with it all the time, here are some keys to learning how to manage stress and overcome it!

No way to wait for burnout, whatever your stressors, we are going to review the different relaxation techniques to increase self-confidence and eliminate stage
