Overall, it was a nice story. However, it moved way too slowly for my taste. Many times I found myself zoning out and I’d have to rewind… or found that I didn’t really miss anything because the scene was being told so slowly. There is some sex, but mostly it seemed to be about the other aspects of BDSM… which can be so beautiful, but even that seemed to fall short here.

It was okay. Not sure if I’ll read the rest in the series. Maybe when I run out of other books to read and just need a filler.

The back story... Boyfriend of 10 years earlier comes back home after becoming rich and successful. The h is nervous because they broke up after a being caught in an embarrassing situation.

The Romance... I really did not see it in this story.

The drama explosion... The h freaks out about family.

Final Notes... KJ is a really good author but, at least for me, this wasn't her best story. Too much time discussing food and the decor.

This book promises a lot and delivers very little, tried to listen to it to the end, got to about 75% and gave up, too long, too descriptive of unnecessary stuff and no real heat or any kink to the story even though supposed to be erotica. Story would have been better written through pov of both male and female main characters. Also sadly narrator was God awful monotonous. This author is definitely not for me!!

Overall I liked it. One thing I didn't think added up was Jack's equivalent to bonding other women vs Sasha sleeping with other men. He made it sound like the bondage would be a deeper/spiritual level. So I think her jealousy of that was more valet than his response.
