About this audiobook

The #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller that People Magazine calls “a poignant, addictive read.”

From #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends with Us comes a novel about family, first love, grief, and betrayal that will touch the hearts of both mothers and daughters.

Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike.

Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn’t want to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn’t have a spontaneous bone in her body.

With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris—Morgan’s husband, Clara’s father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara.

While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she’s been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.

The book was good. The narrator sounded like a robot! Especially Morgan! It was so distracting.

I really like the book but the voice of Morgan is horrible. It almost sounds robotic.

The book was great, but the woman that reads the part of Morgan is terrible. She has a very robotic voice, and it was hard to listen to her read.

I’m enjoying the audio book overall. But it has one of the most annoying narrators, for Morgan. She pronounces every “to” as “too/two” and it’s so distracting. It sounds so unnatural and I wish I could listen again without this distraction. How did someone else not notice and intervene? They thought this sounds ok, I guess.

“I want tooo go back tooo yesterday.” Blech

I can’t finish this book. I loved the other books I’ve read from her but not this one. Clara is incredibly unbearable.

It was a good book. Didn’t love one of the readers. She sounded a little bit computer generated at times.

Great story overall. The Clara narrator was fantastic, emotional and extremely annoying sometimes as the teenager (which is exactly how it should be). The Morgan narrator drove me crazy with the overpronounced “to” in her speech patterns. Otherwise really enjoyed this one.

This is my first Colleen Hoover book. It was only by chance I came across this author. Thank you Scribd.

I am sixty-eight years old and consider myself incredibly lucky, blessed, thrilled with my good fortune, giddy, and excitedly eager to read more works from this author.

I may have lived sixty-eight years, but inside, I am still right around thirty-five. I can still relate to all the characters and many experiences. You will also.

Really enjoyed the book. Great read. I would get mad sometimes at Clara but typical teen that thinks the world revolves around her

I thought it was cheesy, and the main character was pretty immature. Ending was nice, but nothing mind blowing.

This is a review of the audiobook recoding not of the book itself. The book deserves 5 stars but the readers for this recording read far too fast. It gets faster in the second half of the book. At first I thought the speed was to demonstrate the high emotions, but the reader doesn’t ever slow back down and continues to read at a pace that is far faster than the ideal. I wouldn’t recommend this audiobook but would recommend this book.

I finished this in a day!!! I was so shocked that the frost three chapters were already filled with so much info I could NOT stop reading. I genuinely felt so connected to Morgan and wanted to constantly give her a damn hug! I found myself so unsure how it would end or of the relationship would ever be reparable. Such a good read!

I loved it! Very underrated COHO book!

It took a surprising turn that I didn't expect. It was full of heartache, grief, anger, confusion, and happiness. You get so many emotions.

I was annoyed by Morgan on a few occasions. The secrets from Clara were driving me nuts, but Clara was also keeping secrets. But eventually, it turns around. It's not a bad quick read for sure!

This is a wonderful book! I’m not sure why Morgan’s voice sounds so robotic at times (especially when saying the word “to”), but I have really enjoyed the storyline.

It wasn't bad, I liked the story in general but something was missing... There was some drama but probably not dramatic enough to spice in the right way.

Hard to connect with any of the characters. The daughter was an absolute brat and hard to have any sympathy for her. Especially when comparing her coping mechanism’s to her mother’s. Clara was faulting her mother for doing exactly what she was doing. And maybe it’s my age, but could have done without all the descriptions of either of their sexual encounters. I usually really like her books but not so much this one

Colleen Hoover does it again! Characters you fall in love with, laughter, heartache and tears all wrapped up in unconventional love stories that prove there are so many different and unexpected ways to find “Happily Ever After.” Not to mention her gift for those perfect quotes that steal the heart of any romantic and make you sigh with tearful joy. A story you don’t want to miss.

The book was good (left a lot unknown that I wanted specifics to) but Miller saved it. But then narrator if Megan was so so incredibly bad it almost ruined the whole experience.

The voice actor/narrator of Morgan is terrible and SO annoying it makes me cringe. Very nasal, very dragged, too much vocal fry. It’s the worst voice I’ve ever heard. I don’t know how this person books any jobs in the industry, to be honest. I couldn’t listen to 5min of the audiobook. I’m very disappointed…
