Chantelle Fitzpatrick, 26, from Preston
Scrolling through Facebook, I saw a message pop up that took me by surprise. It was from Josh Henry, 25 – a guy I used to go to school with. I hope you don’t mind me sliding in, how’re you? his message read. The last time I’d even so much as heard from Josh was nearly 10 years ago.
The pair of us started messaging back and forth for around four weeks, and sparks flew.
With three children – Molly*, seven, Kelsea*, five and Rosie*, four – who live with my mum Sandra*, plus my beloved dog Patch, I had a lot on my plate.
Only, the more me and Josh got talking, the more I wanted to meet up with him.
Fancy hanging out? I typed. I’d love that, he replied.
And so, a few days later, we met up and went for a walk.
I took Patch – my 13-year-old Staffordshire cross Labrador – along with me, and he helped the date go smoothly.
