About this audiobook
He never saw love coming…until it crashed into him.
A San Amaro Singles Book
Brooke Lowry has a mission: fly to Tahiti, pluck PR nightmare Dylan Schell out of whatever party he’s in, bring him home and clean up his image.
It was her idea for Jackson Cole clothing company to sponsor the pro surfer. But the chances of saving this deal—and her career—look pretty slim when she finds the sexy party boy “shooting the curl” with two beach bunnies.
Dylan is finally getting back on track, and the next big event would put him over the top…if it wasn’t being held in San Amaro, where he’d be forced to watch his best friends Matt and Corey tie the knot and move on without him.
He’ll do anything to keep that from happening, including taking shameless advantage of a tropical cyclone—three days cut off from civilization—to distract the lovely Brooke into his bed.
Despite her moment or three of weakness, Brooke won’t be deterred. And suddenly Dylan finds himself facing a lot of things—his hometown, his past, and something he didn’t see coming. Love.
Warning: Check it, dude, this book contains a bad boy surfer who gets slammed by fierce waves but gets back up, a buttoned-up woman who learns to chillax, and some righteous shreddin’ the gnarl.
Editor's Note
Trouble in Paradise...
The “three’s a crowd” member of the temporary menage formed in Jamieson’s “With Strings Attached” gets his own book in “Slammed.” He’s a pro surfer with a potentially big sponsor deal on the line — if he can clean up his image. Enter a PR expert tasked with keeping the dude out of trouble, but while she does that, he creates trouble for the two of them. While the characters could be portrayed as two-dimensional, Jamieson does a good job of making you care about them as though they were real people.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Some spicy scenes but it still had a storyline. Dylan is a pro surfer acting the fool so they send Brooke to bring him back and get him to shape up.
Naturally, a relationship developed.... No surprises but a pleasant read. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This MIGHT have been better to me with a different narrator. The severe monotone was agonizing. I don't expect it to be acted out like a movie. On the other hand, a bit of emotion helps fuel the story. I literally wanted to reach through the speakers and shake some feeling out of the guy. I felt like the proverbial backseat driver giving the imitating gas push to the floorboard. Dylan came across as a brain dead man the way he was portrayed. While I have never hung out with surfers, it felt like there was too much stereotypical surfer dude. It actually made me feel sorry for the guy as if he were a real person being mocked lol. Do surfers really walk around stoned and stupid? That's the impression I got. I also found it difficult to see the connection in the two main characters with how they were portrayed along with the odd circumstances that brought them together. Additionally, there was no real conflict between point A and B in the story. The rebound was two seconds and done. I just can't bring myself to read the other stories. As it is, I'm hanging between two and three stars on this one.

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? No
The back story... The H is a complete man whore douch that sleeps with anyone and every one. He is about to lose a major sponsor so the h is sent in to bring him in line. He asks her to attend a wedding with him so his friends don't give him any grief.
The Romance... Instalust to the extreme and being confined to the resort by a hurricane added the gasoline to the flame. They do get to know each other during the fake relationship.
The drama explosion... The H flips out
Did it feel real or contrived? Contrived
Was it OTT? Yes
Separation involved? Yes
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Ok
Final Notes... The H had it tough after a serious accident which has caused him to seek out the comfort from a constant string of women. I guess I don't understand the allure of the man whore to female authors as a successful conversion to a monogamous relationship seems nearly impossible to me. I know plenty of guys who were unsuccessful and ended up hurting their wives and girlfriends almost without remorse.
