About this audiobook
He has a heart of ice . . . but for her, he'd burn the world.
Alex Volkov is a devil blessed with the face of an angel and cursed with a past he can't escape. Driven by a tragedy that has haunted him for most of his life, his ruthless pursuits for success and vengeance leave little room for matters of the heart.
But when he's forced to look after his best friend's sister, he starts to feel something in his chest: A crack. A melt. A fire that could end his world as he knew it.
Ava Chen is a free spirit trapped by nightmares of a childhood she can't remember. But despite her broken past, she's never stopped seeing the beauty in the world . . . including the heart beneath the icy exterior of a man she shouldn't want.
Her brother's best friend. Her neighbor. Her savior and her downfall.
Theirs is a love that was never supposed to happen-but when it does, it unleashes secrets that could destroy them both . . . and everything they hold dear.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing, it did start out slow but picked up its pace after 4 chapters. Loved the characters Ava and Alex. Looking forward to reading the others in this series.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was waaaay better than I anticipated. The characters are likable and the plot twist was a nice surprise. However, I almost didn’t finish it because of the female narrator. She’s basically whispering the book to you. Her male interpretation is absolutely horrible. It’s super annoying. I’ll be reading the rest of the series.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I expected more from what I heard of this book... It's been overhyped, not as good as people claim, and feels like I've read it all before many times. And it's not very convincing.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was ok. Very much predictable. I’m not sure why the hype about this book is so high because it’s very much blah. It has good parts, but I wouldn’t read it again. The romance was good, but everything sort of fell flat. The main female character acts like a 16 year old, and the main male character has no personality. I like that they had the issue they had and she didn’t go straight back but again.. I wish these authors would give us adult woman to relate to instead of these “women” who act like teenagers.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Can’t decide whether it was the book or the narrating but it was super cheesy. The narration was super cringy.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Idk. It's really popular but it kind of felt like a Lifetime movie with sexy bits thrown in to make it "spicy". Over hyped for sure.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book and Alex is a walking red flag. I love it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book got me hooked to the series, I wasn’t expecting all the plot twist. I highly recommend the series!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The twists of the story absolutely caused my mouth to drop. It was a nice change from a “forbidden” relationship, I did not see the deception coming.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5One of the dumbest and most sexist and degrading books I’ve read in a while.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Just Ok. Female narrator voice is horrible ?. Every male character she portrayed had the same brooding raspy voice lol Alex’s character was getting on my nerves at one point.. like ok sir, you’re doing too much lol. I hear better things about the second book ??
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I tried! I really tried to listen to this book! I only got to chapter 9 before I stopped. Geez! The Ava character sounds about 15, the Alex character sounds 35. The female narrator is pretty annoying, especially when she tries to whisper. I should have listened to the other reviews!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Flat story and utter predictable. Read this if you are bored.

Some of the twists and turns in this book actually surprised me and normally I can predict the twists in books. I actually enjoyed listening to it more than I thought I would.
Alex did give me the ick on occasion tbh - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I thought it was all hype... it started off nothing special, typical like other books I read... but then I got to chapter 22. Oh. OH. THAT'S what everyone was talking about....
This was a great book with a few tropes. We have enemies to lovers and a brother's best friend too! Loved the combo. Not only that, there were more thriller themes in this book as well; lots of deceit and some foul play lurking around?? This book surprised me in a great way. It had great plot development, great spice, and some TWISTS that I did not see coming. Definitely lived up to the hype of booktok, and I will most definitely be continuing this series! - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book was so slow and boring. Super predictable and mind numbing.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I had to give up on listening to this with how god awful the female narrator is. The constant whispering is the most annoying thing I have ever heard. I'll literally have to read this book. Awful. And she narrates so many books I was excited about. This sucks.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was definitely spicy, but a little hard to believe.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love the voice of the narrator for Alex. Ava not so much. A great listen tho’
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Books are good but the woman narrator I cannot stand! the man narrator is better I think. I mean sometimes I could handle her but at times I had to stop listening because I couldn't handle her voice.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I like the book but I hate the female narrators voice. She always sounds so desperate. And the fact that she used the same voice as the main character in all the Twisted books, even Bridget who is supposed to be posh, drives me nuts.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I heard great things about this book and was excited to listen. I couldn’t make it past the first couple chapters because the narrators are so awful!!! The female whispers all the time for some unknown reason and the man sounds like he’s narrating movie previews. I’m really disappointed.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely loved this! Highly recommend. So many unexpected twists and turns!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I mean no disrespect to Cindy Kay, but I'm having a hard time finishing this audiobook purely because her narrative style. Why is she whispering? I understand she may have wished to match the sultry vibe of the story and that of her counterpart, but my goodness. It's infuriating. I'm on Chapter 5 and I'm struggling. I know the spice is going to be satisfying once I get to it but I might not be strong enough.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I'd like to read it pls. Not listen to it !
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Let’s just say emphasis on “twisted”… but I will be reading the series.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I'm really struggling getting past the female narrator. Whenever she does Alex's voice, it's like she refuses to open her mouth & then whispers his characters lines....its so cringe. And she makes the female main character sound immature & childish. The story line so far is fine....I mean, it's as expected....we'll see...
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sweet love story was a good quick read / listen
