About this audiobook
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly—proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange,
deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites.
The fire between them is undeniable, and it only burns hotter as they are forced to work closely together.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very
well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance—and healing—in each other’s arms.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I was never a Nesta fan. But this idea that everyone gets to punish and discipline Nesta is infuriating. None of them deserve her.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5SJM has excelled in her writing in this one. Lyrical sentences, theatrical details in the description of characters and tasteful spice! It also deals with patriarchical ideas and mental health issues. The narrator executed the story in a marvelous way!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was amazing, more than I was hoping for, honestly, and my new favorite of the series. I already enjoyed Cassian/Nesta and definitely was shipping them, but I loved their prickly banter, seeing inside their heads, and watching them come together. I was absolutely there for Nesta's training. But what really took it over the top, the friend group. I just adored seeing Nesta open up to other damaged females and watching them together find their strength

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This review is about the narrator only, it’s SO frustrating to have a narrator switch in an audiobook series. This is the 3rd one in 5 books and it’s just awful!!
The “sleepy sultry bedroom voice” baseline of this narration is so off base from the prior books and the characters themselves. I’m struggling to listen as it’s so bad compared to the others. I wish that she’d had at least listened to the prior books to get a sense of the tone and energy associated with each character and matched that. Not sure I’m going to be able to get through this. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the whole series. This is a good audiobook and probably my favorite book of the series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Best book out of the ACOTAR series. Top tier for spicy romantasy.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My favorite of the ACOTAR series so far. Nesta grows in ways I didn't know I needed.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The audiobook narrator was AWFUL. Stumbled on words like "regularly" and didn't redo it. Mispronounced "forbid" as "fore bad." Distracting
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5SO GOOD! My favorite of all the books in this series!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Lovely the whole series was great. Recommend to listen to this.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Worst narration I've heard yet, which is surprising because other books she's read have been fantastic. But this one... Absolutely kills the story. I gave up in chapter 3 and switched to the graphic version... Much better.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It finally got good after more than half way through the book. The first half I mostly had to fast forward though because of the ridiculous amount of sex scenes. Don’t get me wrong, in all the other books it was a nice bit of spice. But in this one it was just tooo much and instead of adding spice it really just made the book drag on. Worth getting to the end though to see how Nesta’s story unfolds.
Also the narrator was a bit cringy to listen to for the first half. I feel like she finally nailed down her voices towards the end but at the beginning I couldn’t tell who was talking everyone sounded the same and it got a bit confusing. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love Nesta!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this whole series of books the author makes you feel like you are living in that reality.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I love the entire series. All of the books. The author herself is magnificent. The reason for the low rating is because it is a completely different narrator. The first 4 have 2 different narrators already, but they at least read it similarly enough not to be an issue. Jennifer Ikeda did books 1 and 2. Amanda Cobb did books 3 and 4. Amanda did a really great job with each character and made the audiobooks what they are since she read the last 2. Changing narrators again for the last book ( last, at least for now) is like changing the entire cast of your favorite tv show for the season finale. If you have stuck with all the books up until now. You will be disappointed with the new narrator. Im not saying she's a bad narrator, not in the least. I'm saying that because there is a different reader, it completely changes the characters as far as tones. They should have brought Ms. Cobb back for this book also. I would definitely listen to it all over again if she read it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I just finished relistening to this story. Ugh towards that ending with Feyre, it was so emotional!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The narrator is so intense and great at building the tension or emotion in the different k8nds of scenes...I wouldn't normally call myself a romance fiction reader but this series is really engaging, the narrator skills it. ?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The ending was so rushed and now feels incomplete. Rest of the book is great.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Super necessary story for closure in order to heal nesta from the traumatic events of ACOWAR.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Tugs on the heart strings. Loved this book so much!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely loved this is my 2nd time listening and it only got better
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the whole series! Nesta's and Cassian's story is particularly hot!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I need more. I didn't want to pause it a single moment! This entire series has been incredible, and this addition was no exception. If you haven't read Maas before, what are you waiting for?!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5this is probably my favorite book! i enjoyed it so much
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I’ve been skeptical about this series from the start and am really only sticking through it because I want to finish something I started. That being said, this is easily the best book in the series for me. I liked the different narrating style and character focus. Refreshing to have a new perspective in this world.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Overall it was enjoyable but for the most part it was like an ACOMAF reboot (giving 4 stars coz I love ACOMAF)
