Loved Vane…

The narrators were a huge miss for me.

This book definitely won’t win a Pulitzer but it quick and fast smüt with little to no plot. If that’s what you’re looking for then you will love it.

I did not care for it. I did not like anyone. The characters were all stupid. The sex here was meaningless and without purpose. Even in why choose romances it is esstial to establish an emotional connection to make it more than a gangbang. I am not going to continue the series.

DNF The Lost Boys aren't the only thing lost in this. Could have been a possibly good alternate storyline for Peter Pan but it's just nonstop smut. I kept waiting for an actual entertaining story but instead there is nothing but a string of truly unimaginative sex you can read anywhere. Huge waste of time unless that's what you're into and even then it's poorly written and the narrator for the FMC will put you to sleep.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for a dark retelling of fairy tales, Peter Pan being my favorite. On her 18th birthday, Winnie is kidnapped by Peter Pan. It's said that one of the women in her family stole his shadow. Without it, he and the island are dying. Unlike the women before her, though, Winnie is not scared. She plans on getting back home with her sanity intact. Is that what she really wants?

This is a strong 3 star read, it was good and I enjoyed it.

How I have seen others talk about this book, I did anticipate for it to be spicier but I did find a good balance between the spice and the storyline. This was definitely a "guilty pleasure" read for me. On to the next book!

I dove into The Never King with high expectations, and while the smut definitely delivered, I found myself craving more from the world and character development. The world Nikki St. Crowe created had so much potential, and I couldn’t help but wish the writing had explored it further, along with deepening the relationships between the characters. Despite this, it was a gripping read that I couldn’t put down—I devoured it in one sitting! If you’re looking for a tantalizing escape, this book will definitely do the trick, but be prepared to be left wanting a bit more.
