About this audiobook

I stole her from her life.
I’ll go even further to keep her in mine.

She was a job. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I took her from the party. It wasn’t personal. It was a contract.
Grab her, head to the safehouse, and wait for the ransom.

Scarlett is so gentle, so trusting.
She doesn’t know that men like me exist.
Doesn’t know the brutal nature of this world.

Me? I come from a world of violence.
I’m a killer. I prey on nightmares and make them come true.
If you cross me, I kill you.

So when her father decided not to pay, word comes down that I’m supposed to torture her.
If he still doesn’t cough up the cash, I’m supposed to kill her.

I won’t hurt this fiery angel.
I crave her.
Me, a monster that could never be what she needs.
Who can never settle down.
I can’t just do the job and destroy her.
No, I have to make her mine. Forever.

The way this thing is going down… it’s going to be either her love.

Or her life.

It's fast but a good read. The quickness of the relationship between the two main characters was unrealistic.

This book was boring and the narration was horrible. The whole thing was cringe.

I really enjoyed this Audio book! The narration was well done as well as the pace of the story. I know everyone has their own preferences BUT I don’t know why people have such low reviews. The story line was something new (for me) and the verbiage was not cringey as a few reviews suggested. Which is interesting because I usually stop listening or reading when it’s an embarrassing or bad haha. This was a great one, glad I didn’t skip it.

Lots of the book ruined by the narrator who likes to whisper. Storyline not great either. Worst book of the series.

Not for me, at all. Kind of cringey most of the book.

Good story that had me on the edge of my seat to see what happened next. The author uses lots of big words, but hasn’t mastered the use of basic words. One example that stands out is the use of “liquify” instead of “liquidate” twice. “I can’t liquify my assets that quickly.”

3.5 stars. This story was dirty and forbidden in all the right ways. Kidnapping, gun battles, and sexytimes abound. The plot was really good, and the action was very well written. What knocked it down star ratings for me was that some of the language used was so cringey that it took me out of the story. A lot of it was very good and sexy, but the rest of it just gave me the ick.

Narrators were a great pair up. This was the first time listening to this author and was very happy. The sex scene are more than amazing and the storyline is one of my fantasies. If you like taboo topics or you have a little dark to you then you will love this book as much as I did.

It’s ok. I was expecting more from the dark side with more tension. There was a lot of buildup with back story from each character before they were final face to face together. Then all of a sudden they are just falling for each other when they’ve spent a handful of hours knowing each other. For me, there needed to be more interactions between them for me to believe them getting together. Or maybe more of an intense situation happening around them. It just wasn’t flowing nice for me. It was slow in the beginning and then BAM they were together then trying to stay together…it just needed more. But it’s not a terrible book so it still gets 3 stars.

Don't bother. I couldn't get past the 6th chapter. Didn't like either character. Hope it's just me and not indicative of the writers other stories

I liked it a lot. Great switch from standard romance novels.
