About this audiobook

Rowan

I'm in the business of creating fairy tales. Theme parks. Production companies. Five-star hotels. Everything could be all mine if I renovated Dreamland. My initial idea of hiring Zahra was good in theory, but then I kissed her. Things spiraled out of control once I texted her using an alias. By the time I realized where I went wrong, it was too late.

People like me don't get happy endings. Not when we're destined to ruin them.

Zahra

After submitting a drunk proposal criticizing Dreamland's most expensive ride, I should have been fired. Instead, Rowan Kane offered me a dream job. The catch? I had to work for the most difficult boss I'd ever met.

Rowan was rude and completely off-limits, but my heart didn't care. At least not until I discovered his secret. It was time to teach the billionaire that money couldn't fix everything. Especially not us.

Contains mature themes.

Inclusive characters, a smart female lead, and a good story.

I really really enjoyed this book! I loved how Zahra laughed at some of the cliché things Rowen said. It made it feel more realistic! I laughed a lot! The story was really good and cute! Loved the inclusivity in it, was not expecting it. Also, I didn't expect some of the things that happened, which was nice! I only have two complaints (maybe spoilers):
*When Rowen sent Zahra's ex to Hong Kong, it felt too extra and an abuse of power, which I personally hate( when the most "powerful" character does it) because it feel unrealistic.
*When Rowen would always say "remember I'm your boss," it kind of links at the first conplaint. I'm glad Zahra never gave in bc it would've been even less realistic.
    * On a positive note, I loved how Zahra didn't give in quickly to Rowen at the end. It made her a powerful character that actually grew from her past!

Really enjoyed it and recommend it! ?

I listened to Terms & Conditions first and thought this one took a bit longer to get going. However, it kept my attention the entire time. I love a good love story, though these brothers are complicated lol

I finished it in 3 days and had so much fun. This is the type of book that I consume best on audio. It has enough plot twists and event that keep me entertained, but not too much that I have to stop what I'm doing and only listen.

I would give this 2 1/2 stars. This is my first listen by this author. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but the cover of the book kept drawing my attention when I would see it on Audible sales, so I thought I would check it out.

This story is a grump – sunshine Romance, and the grump/ sunshine is in extremes. The main male character is often cold, rude, and doesn’t care for people. The main female character is positive and laughs off whatever rude thing is said to her or comes at her. she isn’t afraid to speak her mind, but at different points in the book, she comes off as desperate for love or connection, and has moments of being a bit of a doormat. Without giving too much away, she is in a budding relationship with her bosses boss, while texting a stranger who happens to also be a grumpy coworker but without ever meeting her him, knowing if she’s attracted to him, or anything, she tries to start up a romantic, entanglement over text and get him to meet her.

Towards the middle of the story there is a conflict where she is rejecting, doesn’t want to hear anything the MMC has to say, refuses to interact, but the next minute we’re hearing her in her dialogue after she agrees to meet him at his home to hear him out, and she’s overly willing to forgive and hear anything he has to say. I just don’t care for the strange extremes. I guess I would’ve liked the story and characters a bit more without those. I think overall this book reads like pop music. There’s a lot of books out there like this and, don’t get me wrong, it has positive aspects and fun parts, but feels a little run-of-the-mill. There are also parts where the author gets a little crass with the girl talk or sex talk and it cheapens it a bit for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against girl talk whatsoever, but the descriptors came off as a little unfeeling and crass at times.

Look I was here for it up until about chapter 45 or 44 when she was literally on oxygen and his selfish behind started blaming her for everything. She even gave him a second chance after all of that Scott mess and he broke her down like that and then proceeds to be absolutely delulu and uncomfortably persistent (can't take no for an answer) with her and her sister (the sister scene made me uncomfortable). I had so much faith and really he did what he said he was going to do but he really shouldn't have led her on, should've just kept it casual like he said he wanted. I don't know how all of these booktok reels recommend this trash mc ?? absolutely a red flag and he's so stupidly pressuring that it's uncomfortable, not even the smutty possessive mafia/Costa nostra and dark romances got me this mad and pissed at a ml.

Didn't care for the overdone sexual content. It didn't match up with the female character's personality.

Such a cute romance, your typical grumpy and his sunshine.
Story is solid and abit of a fairytale but its expected when it's related to dreamland.
Lvl of angst and spiciness is not back.
Expected more but it's cute and suitable for people trying romance novels.

It was cute, but having read the second book in the series first I have to say my standards were raised too high. It is essentially the same thing as Terms & Conditions, but less effective I guess. This just felt too long and paded for me. The banter was good, but not as good as the second book. It was fun reading this though, since I got to see where the series began and how the foundations for future books were laid. I would recommend reading this only if you are a completionist since you can skip this and very easily read the second book without missing much. Rowan was okay as an MC, the usual grumpy male hero stick. Zahra was way too optimistic and almost the extreme version of the "sunshine" trope. This was also way too unrealistic and resembled more a fanfic than a traditional romance .
Yeah, overall it was okay. I can see why people love this but for it was OK.

Predictable plot, very similar characters to Ana Huang's twisted love, I got 75 % thru before I finally gave up.
