The Temporary Roomie
Author

Sarah Adams

Sarah Adams always dreamed of being a writer and was finally able to write her first novel when her daughters were napping and she no longer had any excuses to put it off. Her hope is to write stories that make people laugh, maybe even cry, and definitely leave them happier than when they started. A coffee addict, British history nerd, and mom of two, she is married to her best friend and was born and raised in Nashville.

The writer has wasted her talents on two very immature characters who became increasingly uninteresting. If the immaturity had been toned down and limited to a couple of small things it wouldn’t have been as bad.

The narrators were both just plain awful. It was like bad acting on steroids, whoever thought this was a good idea needs to change career immediately.

I gave three stars because the writer is competent, it is just wasted with too much immaturity and the book was also too long.

i loved the characters and their chemistry so much! "the off limits rule" is one of my favorite audiobooks i've ever listened to and i honestly thought it wasn't possible to top it, but now that i've listened to this one i'm not sure which one i like more.

The main character Jessie is quite toxic and the storyline is a bit poor.

Jessie is so immature, it’s becoming hard to even finish the book. First book was way better.

Jessie is so whiny and ridiculous! The only thing that made this book bearable was some of the funny moments

It was a fun-ish book. Expected plot. Entertaining somehow. It was fine

The "pranks" got really old. Jessie has a lot of old baggage, but she's really immature.

I was excited to see the second installment from this series. I normally really enjoy the enemies to lovers trope, but Jessie the main character is very unlikeable. I think if she was less malicious and prankster-ish in the beginning, she would have felt more real.

I think the book was okay however, the people reading the audiobook makes it hard to listen to. Definitely a better read than audiobook.

    Rounded up from 3.75 stars

I did mostly like it. The pranks were a bit muchssometimes, but I otherwise liked the dynamics well enough.
I'm not a big fan of books about kids/pregnancy, so that draws it down slightly for me. If you enjoy that kind of thing, you'll probably like it more.

I'd call this a closed door romance, so nothing graphic.

I don’t normally re-read books but I might have to break my own rule for this one. I loved this book and the author makes such amazing characters.

Jessie is seriously the worst. I almost didn’t finish the book because of her.
This book was a huge disappointment compared to the first one.
